Dr. C.B. Lumsden, Branch No. 74, Wolfville, Nova Scotia

To serve Veterans, including serving Military and RCMP members and their families, to promote Remembrance and to serve our communities and our country

During our weekly Coffee and Tea Social at the White Rock Hall, our MP, The Honourable Kody Blois, was on hand to announce that we will be receiving help towards our Legion renovations. Through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund, under ACOA, we have received $100K to assist with renovating four of our washrooms, making them more energy efficient and accessible. He also announced that we were awarded an additional $25K from the New Horizons for Seniors Program to assist with our new kitchen renovations later this year. We are deeply grateful for all of the assistance we have received to date from the Town of Wolfville, Municipality of the County of Kings, the NS Provincial Government and the Federal Government plus FCC Agri-Spirit Fund. We continue to write grants, use our own funds and have received some donations from a couple of generous donors. We will require more assistance to complete the entire renovations costing approximately $1.800,000.00 which will be over half completed by the end of this summer. Stay tuned for our Fundraising roll-out coming this Spring and a grand opening of our basement bar this summer.
